Embroidery Workshop

  • Laine - made unique 74 Saint George's Road Brighton, England, BN2 1EF United Kingdom (map)

We've had our embroidered jackets out in the shop for a couple of months now and lots of you are itching to learn to embroider for yourselves. Well now is your chance!

Pop along to the shop with whatever you want to embroider (or use the calico provided). The only rule is the fabric must not stretch i.e. no jersey, no knitwear, no lycra

We suggest denim because it is sturdy, pretty forgiving (and embroidery is a great way to give a new lease of life to your worn through jeans or jacket.)

We supply needles, as much embroidery floss as you can use, tea, biscuits and endless patience! This session will cover just the basics: french knots, chain stitch, whipped running stitch and rosettes. Most of our designs use just these stitches, so you'll be armed with all the knowledge you need to create your own masterpiece!

Initially we're running just two of these workshops, however if they prove popular then we will run more. To ensure everyone gets plenty of 'teaching time' space is limited to just 5 people per session. Booking early is brilliant, you can book online or in store. Hope to see you soon!
